About My Story
Hello!
My name is Joycelyn (my nickname is Mickey),
I was born and raised in Mississippi and left for good after joining the United States Air Force. I joined as a nurse and along the way became a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I love taking care of kids and found it hard to give up what I love so I still see patients to keep my credentials, knowledge and skills current.
I will always love the Air Force and am proud to have served my country for 30 years. The USAF took my family on some amazing adventures, to many beautiful locations where "we" served, lived among, and met other incredible people many of which we call friends today.
My husband and oldest daughter work for the Air Force as civilians. My youngest daughter is a business owner now using those superior culinary skills she acquired in Paris while attending the best culinary school in the world. My son-in-law is in the Air Force doing some amazing things. The icing on the cake are our three grand-kids! I don't have enough space here to talk about them so I will save their stories for another day.
My first, middle and last assignment was to San Antonio, Texas. When it was time to retire and decide where to live, Texas won my heart and now we call it home.
